About Appraisals
Property appraisals provide independent and professional estimates of the value of a property at a given time. The appraiser examines the property as a realtor or informed buyer would in determining the expected market value. Appraisers can also answer value related questions such as:
- “How much does it add to my property if I build a new garage?”
- “Is the amount of taxes I am paying fair?”
- “What was the value of my property ten years ago and what is my estimated capital gain?”
- “How much should I offer for a property or vacant land?”
- “What should the property be valued at for separation or litigation purposes?”
Appraisers use their experience and detailed knowledge of recent sales of similar properties to develop opinions of value you can rely on.
